After School Clubs
At Dame Dorothy Primary School, we are proud to offer a range of exciting after-school clubs, providing children with opportunities to learn new skills, develop confidence, make friends and have fun beyond the school day.
Our clubs are delivered by STEM Buddies from Dame Dorothy Community Hub, located next door to the school. At the end of the school day, children are met by STEM Buddies staff in school and safely escorted to the Hub, where they can enjoy a welcoming and engaging environment until 5.00pm.
We recognise that after-school provision is about more than just activities. Our clubs provide children with the opportunity to:
- Build friendships and social skills
- Relax and chat with friends after a busy school day
- Catch up on homework or reading if they wish
- Explore new interests and hobbies
- Develop confidence and independence
A healthy snack and juice are always provided to help keep children energised and ready to enjoy their afternoon.
We are fortunate to have access to a fabulous outdoor environment, and wherever possible, our clubs make use of these spaces to encourage active play, exploration and hands-on learning. To keep things fresh and exciting, we aim to refresh and change our club offer each term, giving children the chance to experience a variety of different activities throughout the year.
Whether your child enjoys science, sport, creative activities, outdoor adventures or simply spending time with friends, there is something for everyone in our after-school club programme.
Booking Information
Parents can choose to book clubs in two ways:
- £3 per session for flexible attendance.
- Termly booking, which secures your child’s place for the duration of the club.
