School follows the National Curriculum document in all subjects.

We incorporate the topics and themes from ‘Cornerstones’ into our skills based curriculum.

School follows the principles of engaging all pupils through an exciting start to the topic.

Then we develop and learn new skills and knowledge.

Next we allow them to innovate their newly acquired skills and knowledge.

Finally, we encourage the children to express their findings to different audiences.

Phonics

At Dame Dorothy Primary school we follow the Read Write Inc scheme for the teaching of phonics every day from 9:00-9:30am from EYFS into Key stage 1 and 2.

Remember to ask your child about ‘Fred’ – they will know!
